Yesterday I received the news that a friend of mine, who we all called "Thor", who I met at the University of Iowa died suddenly and unexpectedly.

He died as the complications of a flesh eating bacteria (Necrotizing Fasciitis).
He also was a huge motorcycle safety activist.

In his honor, part of the proceeds for next years (2009) march will go to one (or both) of the following charities in addition to a local Iowa City Charity (or 2).
